On Monday, August 4, 2003, Eric and I started our trek around the TRT. We started at about 8am. It was just a tiny bit cool with some clouds but very comfortable. My folks said it rained the week before our arrival. We hoped for a rain-free hike but were ready for anything. We were ready to go. We started at Tahoe Meadows and were heading for Spooner Summit (23.1 miles)
